Becoming one with Eternity
May 24th
A great learned brahmin came to me, we were speaking generally for sometimes and the discussion switched to god and then realisation. I put forward my understanding of realisation as “realisation never comes as a desire, it is without it. God is not but God is”. The man became very furious and started to argue that god is there and he can prove it in many ways, even told that he had seen it as a divine energy. I asked him if he can see it as a divine energy, then what is he? isn’t he not a speck of that divine energy? If he is a speck then how can the energy be seen separately? He became very angry and said, look I have learnt so many vedas, upanished, bible and quron and he can prove it and challenged me. I said, I do not know anything so I am a looser. Now I challenged him that he is a winner if he comes to a stage where he also do not know anything like me. The man never answered and went awayKnowledge is illusion, it creates all kind of illusions, god or whatever we call it as is beyond imagination, it is the reality, it is now and here.Anyone who has experienced god will never tell how it is, if told then he becomes a observer different from the observed. If only the observer and the observed are one then he is that. Thus any religious script will be just pointing finger to the moon,we have to see the moon not the finger. We have to be what Jesus says and not a worshipper of him, we have to be Krishna and not worshipper of krishna, we have to be allah and not worshipper of Allah. I am pretty sure that if Krishna, Jesus and Muhammad are here, they will kick the people who worship them. All they wanted people is to become what they have become, not to worship them. Worshipping disappears when we became one with the eternity, after becoming one, what is there to worship?

Are we there Yet?

Endless Road
Any religious scripts given by enlightened masters are for people at a certain level. This level can be compared to standing in the edge of a deep well. Before standing in this level a human need to go through a very long journey. Let us examine what this level is. Osho says enlightenment is sudden. It is like pushing someone into a deep well, like Alice falls into the rabbit hole in Alice in wonderland. Most of the time what we think was that we are in the edge of the deep well, read again “we think”, this means our mind inflates our ego of becoming a powerful master and then tries to think that we have reached a level where we are ready to be pushed into the well of enlightenment.
Before the push, there will be a evolution, the evolution of moving from inanimate to animate organisms, plants, animals then human. This will be according to Darwin’s theory of evolution. The next and final level of evolution is enlightenment. We are in between the animals and enlightened and most of us have a long way to go.
Before going behind any sage, master or sadhu, first understand your current level. What level you are in? The moment you ask this question, you will get confused and will go astray in your mind. This is where you stop the search, because we are not there and the distance may be more. This distance towards enlightenment cannot be measured as we are not conscious enough to do it. The consciousness evolves as we are reborn again and again. There comes our free will to choose to move ahead in consciousness or go backwards. In this situation we will reach a level of consciousness where we will never ask such question of whether I am ready or not, the master will come to you by that time and you will be initiated into the path of enlightenment, this is where you will be few feet from the well of enlightenment, this is when the master helps and gives that push I talked before.
So, let us not waste our time in going behind god men, let us be aware of our level of consciousness, take up required meditation. Meditation must not be associated with any religion or master. The moment you learn that meditation, you must be allowed to practice it by yourself. This meditation must be taught by someone who has experienced the meditation or experiencing it. Initially we will end up in mass camps where everyone is taught the same meditation, we must then cross that and move towards the next level, the next level will come by itself, all you need to do is to take that first step, never mind if it is from a mass guru, but make sure that you never fall for their charm and loose yourself to their organisations.
One great way of meditating is to remain aware of what we do, each and every thing, and be total in it. As Osho use to say, see a small child looking at you its eyes will be totally looking at you, see a child eating ice-cream, the child will become the ice-cream, let us do this, let us try to be conscious of what we do and become the action itself, this is considered to be one of the greatest meditation. Meditation of lifetime, do it on every action you do, including love making, I could see that when the word meditation is mentioned, we will immediately move to a clean secluded room with fragrance and flowers and the room filled with deity pictures and our mind exclude love making with our partners from meditation due to our wrong upbringing, no this is not meditation, meditation is totality in action.
Random Thoughts: The Dead and Their Rituals
May 10th
Show me the living dead, I will believe in rituals
Such rituals are dead ceremonies
Dead things are useless, thus the rituals.
The dead has already gone, the air mingled with air, the heat of body with sun, the body with earth, the body fluids with water, the Prana or life force with the universal force.
Their thoughts faded away like a pinch of salt dipped in the sea.
Karma stays eternal until it is exhausted in the coming births. So Karma is reborn
After all these there will be nothing hanging around in the world as everything has already become what they are ought to be.
You are alive!
Alive every moment
Enjoy the liveliness, throughout this life, do not compare yourself with Krishna, Buddha or Lao Tsu, you are unique on your own.
You are your own religion, do not add anyone else to it, you must be the only one member of that religion.
Dance is your ritual, love is the preaching, silence is your prayer and you are eternal.
The Judgement Day
May 10th

Judgement Day (copyright acknowledged)
Whenever I think of realised masters, gurus or teachers in the current time, I always see a contrary view from someone else. No one bother to have views on older rishi’s, saints and maharishis. For example when I search in the internet for Osho, I will also find people who accuse Osho of something they think were bad. It became a habit for me that whenever I begin to read about a master, I also googled about him to find out if he as any other side.
Suddenly I realised that this is absurd and stupid on my part. What was wrong with these masters who were accused of involving in some scandals? Nothing is wrong, what was wrong was inside me. Whenever I see these masters, I judge them and see them through the eyes given to me by the society not with my own eye.
Jesus said “May those who have eyes, See; and those who have ears Hear”. This is not for blind and deaf people. This is one of the greatest parables of Jesus. What we hear and see is not the truth, the truth will be heard when you have an ear that listens to unbiased, non-dualistic words and eyes which will see unbiased and nun-dual. This is one of the greatest lessons I have learnt.
What is seeing things from societies view? A society will have rules and regulations, views from hundreds of people. I remember someone having a caller tune (a song instead of the usual ringing sound you hear when you call a mobile phone, this is common in Indian mobile phones) which has a song that starts with word “burning” and he need to change that because someone calling him told him that, listening to a word “burning” when calling you is not a good luck for him, it’s like asking me to burn. This is an example of society view. The person immediately changed to some other caller tune song with normal words. The society increases complexity by imposing their fears and ideas on us. Many societies thinks that sex is a sin, even in the current so called Hinduism, where sex was considered as one of the ways to go towards realisation. This is the view of society not yours or mine.

Sorry from God (Original artist acknowledged)
Each such view of society gives a filter in front of our real eye. The society starts to add layers and layers of veils which filter the naked truth from our eyes. When light from the truth tries to reach your eye through so many filters, it will finally be darkness and no light as the filters absorb the light of truth.
Let us start to look at the truth as they are and accept that. Acceptance is nothing but not commenting on something with your own or society’s views. Remember society involves everything including your parents, siblings, wife, children etc. Let us start listening to the truth with no bias, just listen, enjoy it and then leave it, no comments, and no dual thoughts. Dual thoughts is judging something as good or bad, right or wrong, this or that. When we shun that we will start the real growth inside us, until then we are artificially grown, grown by the society.
I can see many people asking, do we not have to abide by the society as we are a part of it? Yes you are a part of a society, but there is a limit up to which the society can govern you. You have to abide by traffic rules, a countries law or you have to abide to immigration rules in a country, and these are external rules that govern your, never let anything govern your inside, your own self, your true form.
A master gives you a push; it is like push of a mother bird to make its baby bird to fly from nest. You might have seen this, when the baby bird is big enough to fly, the mother will push it from the next to make it fall down, and the baby bird will start to flap its wings and learn to fly. Then the baby bird will never worry about its mother, because it is free now. Free to to go around and find its own life, the mother will also not worry about the baby bird. This is how a master and disciple must be. Get a push from a master, go ahead move ahead; never think about what the society says, all you need is that push. Whatever happens to the master after that never judge or take sides, when you start to fly, fly freely.
There is nothing called Judgement day, because there is nobody or nothing to judge, who are we to judge on something? The judgement day is the day from which we stop judging forever. After thar we are free, free from everything. Free means not freedom of choice, choosing means clinging to something, taking sides or taking on side by judging two, freedom is actually freedom from choice and not freedom to choose. Freedom to choose is the state in which we will be thinking of choosing a choice less path or remain in this dualist world with thousands of rebirths. Here rebirth is the rebirth of your mind not you as you are never born or never dead.
Ahead of Time

Timeless
Many people use to comment on great enlightned masters as “They are ahead of our time”. I realised that it is not them who are ahead of time, it is we who are behind or ahead. They are always in the present and now.
Iceland Volcano
Apr 19th
The volcano threw dust and we all became like dust in land. Many people of England are now doing reverse discovery which they made hundreds of years ago. Hundreds of years ago England set on to discover new lands by sea, now people of England are trying to find out different sea routes to get back to England as the air route is completely shut down.
When I set out of England, I never imagined something like this will happen and hamper my travel plans, now I started to enjoy the beauty of nature and the universal consciousness acting on us. It comes, acts and goes, does not spares anyone, if we think its our fate then it will become our fate, if we think its fun, then it will be fun. As Ramana maharishi indicated to UG Krishnamurthy who came him to get some high spiritual advice, by giving a book of jokes, lets take things as fun, as nature does not act with prejudice, it does not know any difference of cast, creed, color or even living and non-living things, it just acts and does not expects anything or wait for anything. This is how I feel we must be, just walk the path of life, if there are stones and thorns, avoid and take other routes, if there is high tide, float with the tide, don’t swim against it, finally we will reach our destination of the universal consciousness.
This movement towards the universal consciousness is the final evolution of us humans, not the one depicted in human imagination as mutated humans (X-Men?), as mutation is artificial and movement towards the universal consciousness is natural.
Just stop, enjoy every moment, don’t expect, go with the flow everything was all right, everything is all right and everything will be all right.
My mind feels bad and my heart goes to people who were stranded, especially foreigners who were stranded in India and treaded very bad by the airport employees in India. I read so many stories of people being snatched of huge money for just a bottle of water in Indian airports on these bad hours. Don’t we have the compassion to help people in distress? Don’t we ever get stranded in so many natural disasters in India and foreign people and missionaries help us with millions of dollars or pounds of money? What has happened to the compassion which was born and nurtured a lot in India for thousands of years?
I believe east is now becoming west and west is becoming east, I could see compassion a lot in western countries and dog fight in eastern countries like India where I was born. When I observed myself, In India we have to snatch the few available supplies in a cloth show room or in supermarket otherwise other person will snatch them. This is how Indians are now, becoming snatchers. India is not far from situation where we will be snatching food from each other every day.
With such a behavior I would recommend all the foreign missionaries and charities to stop helping these 3rd world countries, you have done enough for countries like India, nothing more, first go and help your nations to come out of this recession and financial problems, then if you have surplus, think of helping the 3rd world countries. All the money you are giving are like a block of ice passed from one person to another who are standing in a long line, finally at the end of the long line, what the actual person gets is nothing other than a drop of water from the block of ice you gave, all your money are going into corrupted peoples pockets, whatever you are shown as reasons for funding are just like cinema art and acting to snatch your money.
I felt so bad when one of my friends in UK felt compassionate about the slum dwellers in Bengaluru and Chennai. I also feel bad for another friend from USA who goes and helps poor people whenever he comes to India for official reasons. They just see one side of these so called poor people, they did not see the other side of these so called poor people who had rented the free apartments given to them by the government and come back to the slum area to snatch more from government and charity organisations.
If you say that I am inhuman, so be it. Imagine how nature works by itself, a critter automatically finds a wall to grow on, like that we humans who are part of this nature can survive without these luxury charities, these charities are like crippling us and giving us everything, let these people face the reality and come out of it by themselves, if they are helped then they will expect the help always, that will be true for any charity.
Volcano erupted,
Ash moving with the wind
I am watching it.
Nothing more can be done and nothing less can be done.
We Born and Die with Nothing
Apr 7th
We are born with nothing and will die with nothing, if we take this literally, we are born without any dress. When we die we are burnt or buried and nature will take away our clothing first and then the body. If we look at this in depth, we are born with no name, no religion and no attachments, after death, there is nothing and there is no meaning in chanting krishna or ramas words in the ears of a dead body.
The in between what we call as life is the most precious one, be aware let us loose all our identity and live life to the fullest, identity gives us ego and ego is easily exploited by others, ego also results in mind and bodily problems. When aware of the ego we can overcome it, that is the only way to remove ego, overcomming it, drink if you want to drink, eat if you want to eat, a time will come when you realise the fact that it will not lead us anywhere and slowly increase the awareness in you while doing them, you will know the reality.
We as human are the last stage in evolution, beyond this evolution is in our hands, this is what is called as free will, we must evolve as free spirit and go beyond this circle of birth and death and become immortal, immortal is not bodily, as all bodies are mortal only and the moment it is born death has been written, may it be after 80 years of after 800 years, death is sure for the body, soul is something debatable, it can only be realised and beyond that is the universal consiousness, this is where all the great saints, rishis and seers dissolve to, as Kabir says the ocean where the drop of water mix into and become the ocean itself, this must be our ultimate journey.
Vivekanadha like other gurus was misunderstood a lot, Vivekanandha always describes the last moment of life where our consciousness or soul or shunyatha or whatever you call it merges into the universal consciousness. So Arise, Awake, stop not till you find your own path, yes your own path, no other path can lead you to that.
Stop listening advices from people, people includes, friends, relatives and so called religious leaders as I see back here in India, people talk a lot, give unwanted advices, instill dogmas and unwanted religious rituals for their own benefit. Start to hear your own voice and vibrations, this voice will not be the voice of the mind it will be one’s experience of the consciousness. As Jesus says Come Follow Thyself, you will reach there and ‘there’ can be only experienced not said, this is why whatever we are experiencing, speaking, listening, smelling and tasting is called as Maya or unreal by great sages. The reality is beyond what we are experiencing now and this reality called as true religion, be a religion of your own never become affiliated to any and never allow anyone to modify or join your own religion. Christanity died with Jesus, Islam died with Muhammad, Buddhism died with buddha, Hinduism dies every time when a human being who was born as Hindu reaches the consciousness and dies as nobody, Jainism died with Mahavira and your religion must die with you.
What is Compassion?
Mar 31st
I took a book from a old cupboard titled “Compassion the Crown of life” by a so called great sage. Then I asked to myself what is compassion?. I googled. The answer is “Human emotion prompted by the pain of others”.
When I read a story in life of Buddha as narrated in the above book, I realised how stupid people are in realising certain facts. Also found that how emotionally these books use peoples mind against themselves. I understood from my experience that a real Buddha is not what is told in these stores, he is far more incomparable than that.
The following is my understanding with compassion.
Compassion begins with ones self. Man must first be compassionate about one self. This does not mean that he must have pains and must feel compassionate about his own pains. A compassion means acceptance of one as they are, first we have to accept as we are. There is a great possibility of one’s ego coming in front to accept oneself as socially incompetent or incompatible person, this must be kept in awareness as we have to be in touch with the society to lead our day to day life.
A real compassion arising of ones own love will be the real compassion. The compassion of self. Then comes the compassion to others or other things. Thus the meaning of compassion is “Acceptance of things as they are”.
The story i saw says that Buddha trying to give his life to save some goats from a king who wants to sacrifise them. A real Buddha will never do this, he will accept the situations as they are and the people as they are. A compassionate Buddha’s present will radically change the entire situation without him speaking or acting on something. Buddha is not a man of action or words. He is a embodiment of love, He is like a leaking honey comb, where the divine leaks through Buddha.
So do not get carried away by such stories, they are cheating ones self, strengthening our egoes. What we want is to go beyond these ego’s. Do not teach such stories to our children. There is no self less deed by any human in this world unless they become enlightened. Self less deeds mostly for such people I believe is to remain silent and communicate love from their being not with any action of charity, as I had mentioned before charity is like supporting the cause of it not weeding it out.
“Sitting quietly, doing nothing,
Spring comes, and the grass grows by itself.”
That is the real compassion.
Haiku of Basho
Mar 25th

Frog Jumping into Pond Courtesy: http://phillipkay.files.wordpress.com
Haiku, beautiful poems, I got introduced to haiku long back in some tamil magazines. Now I got introduced to haiku by Osho, what a difference!.
I still remember one Haiku in tamil which I read around 10 or 15years back, that translates to
“I look around
There is a crowd of people
Crowd of people, Crowd of people,
Crowd of people, Crowd of people, Crowd of people,
Crowd of people, Crowd of people, Crowd of people, Crowd of people”
The explanation given by my favourite writer Sujatha for this Haiku is that the repeating words represents how more and more people crowd add up in time.
But a Haiku from a realised master is far more amazing than that. Osho use to say they are like small seeds which when sprouts will give huge tree of reality. Osho also says that a haiku need to be meditated upon rather than read or understood.
What is meant by meditated upon? The haiku must be felt in each and every senses and in us.
“An old pond
A frog Jumps in –
Splash!”
Just close your eyes, imagine you are near an old pond, feel the cold wind blowing through the pond, feel the smell of the water lily and lotus in the pond, see inside you the beauty of the lily and lotus, it can be day or night you can imagine both, and now a frog jumps into the pond, hear the splash, there you are..
This is how the haiku of an enlightened master must be read. As Osho uses to say all such haiku’s are Koan’s, A question without any answer, which need to be meditated upon. When we meditate upon such haiku we will go to mindless state with our mind full state, we will feel how it will be when you are in the now and here. The haiku above ended with basho himself, we can just imagine. When you are here are now, you can feel lots of haiku’s, wherever your awareness turns to and you are aware of your awareness with no mind.
“Hands typing,
No words
I am communicating”
That’s what I feel now when I am typing this blog. I could feel what it is when I read that haiku I just wrote again and again, it gives a void feeling in me..
I use to think why am I blogging all these? I then realised, my mind is still with me, I feel that these blogs must be either a conversation of my mind to satisfy its ego’s or a conversation between my mind and self
When my mind disappears I will no more blog and I will no more be what I am.
A collection of Basho’s haiku’s: http://oaks.nvg.org/basho.html
